Job Description
The Assistant Professor (Geography) is responsible for delivering quality education in Geography, fostering critical thinking, and supporting students' academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate Geography courses as per the university syllabus.
Prepare lesson plans, conduct lectures, tutorials, and practicals/fieldwork.
Assess students through assignments, tests, presentations, and examinations.
Guide and mentor students in academic and career development.
Participate in curriculum development, research, seminars, and workshops.
Maintain attendance, academic records, and departmental documentation.
Assist in organizing educational tours, field visits, and departmental activities.
Contribute to NAAC, IQAC, and other institutional academic initiatives.
Perform additional academic and administrative duties assigned by the institution.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Geography with at least 55% marks.
NET/SET qualified or Ph.D. as per UGC/State Government norms.
Strong communication, teaching, and research skills.
