Job Description
The Assistant Professor (Zoology) is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, promoting research, and mentoring students in the field of Zoology.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate Zoology courses as per the university curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans and conduct lectures, practicals, laboratory sessions, and field studies.
Evaluate students through assignments, practical examinations, tests, and semester examinations.
Guide and mentor students in academic, research, and career development.
Maintain laboratory equipment, specimens, and safety standards.
Participate in curriculum development, research projects, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Maintain academic records and departmental documentation.
Contribute to NAAC, IQAC, extension activities, and other institutional initiatives.
Perform academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the college.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Zoology with at least 55% marks.
NET/SET qualified or Ph.D. as per UGC/State Government norms.
Good communication, teaching, laboratory, and research skills.
